The why, what and where of having a personal trainer

Personal Training

What happens when I start personal training?
We will chat about your goals and give you a basic health check - and then come up with a plan of action just for you. Whether your goal is to lose weight and tone up or run a 10k or play sport better, we will tailor a programme for you.

Where will I do it?
In a park, a gym or studio, or your home. We run a personal and group training studio in London Fields (E8 3PN). It is at 379 & 380 Mentmore Terrace, the same road as London Fields station, which is on the line from Liverpool Street. We are also able to offer training in Brighton.

Parks we work in include Victoria Park E9, Clissold Park, Hackney Downs Park, London Fields, Primrose Hill, St James's Park, Southwark Park, Regent's Park, Thames Barrier Park, Highbury Fields, Ravenscourt Park.

What will I do?
This depends of you and the location, but activities include:

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Sprints and shuttle runs
  • Bodyweight exercises (for example, press ups, burpees, lunges)
  • Exercises with free weights, kettlebells and medicine balls
  • Circuit training
  • Agility ladder exercises
  • Skipping
  • Boxing
  • Stretching
  • Core stability

In the park, we work with mainly with bodyweight exercises (such as push ups, burpees, lunges, squats, abdominal exercises, tricep dips, mountain climbers and many more) and aerobic activities (such as running, shuttle runs, use of agility ladders, jumping jacks, speed rope/skipping). We put them into combinations (and games) that are challenging and engaging.

In the studio, we work with bodyweight exercise, free weights and a power rack. Inside and outside, we also do pad work with boxing gloves. 

Can I bring a friend?
Yes, absolutely. You can (depending on location) bring up to two friends or your partner for no extra cost. You can bring your children if they are aged five or older.
